Niçoise Salad

Nothing beats a tasty salad loaded with veggies and protein, especially in the summer. Here is literally the best recipe for Niçoise Salad I have ever come across on a website called No Recipes.

Decor: workspace

I am a very organized person. Even when I am procastination or sitting on a to do list for ages, I like things to have a certain order which is why a desk is very important. I can't wait to have a more permanent home where I can work on creating a productive workspace.
Of course I loved the office space in Devil Wears Prada! I would, however, add more colour and comfort in my version of it.
I am obsessed with the gold desk and the gold accessories. Who'd have thought so much gold could be elegant and not garish!
The picture on the left with the blue vase is not a desk, it could be a great place to keep a planner or a dish to hold your keys, wallet etc. The last three designs are by Ruthie Sommers via Swish and Swanky, a great home design blog.

Suggestions

What would you get if you mixed a villian-esque bond girl + a touch of Sienna Miller in Alfie + a little bit of Catherine Zeta Jones in Entrapment + a few drops of Natalie Portman in Closer?
Anja in an editorial titled Suggestions.

Another one of Shopbop's genius lookbooks

I am bewitched by this shoot and the clothes! It's so far from my style and I will probably never attempt to wear the exact outfits but I can't help obsess over them and ask my fashion fairy Godmom to have some coveted pieces like the white blouson tops, the black dress and all the bags shipped to me for no charge. While I dream on, you enjoy the pictures, and maybe even buy some of it at Shopbop if your bank account allows for such expenditure!

My find in the archives of Vogue India...

There was nothing very Bollywood about this photo shoot in Vogue India with Gemma Ward when I first looked at it. I thought this because there wasn't a lot of Indian costumes or elements in the styling. But upon further observing the pictures in detail, I did find that the editorial is very Bollywood in a 'western' light. It is shot on a set for a movie that is by a leading Indian film-maker, and I love the inclusion of the 'hero' and 'heroine' of the movie (second picture from the top). The whole thing is very dramatic, mythical and fantasy-like - exactly what Bollywood is made up of! And the whole juxtaposition is the where the originality of the shoot lies.

The latest in fashion's time capsule

In what I first perceived to be a summary of this era's fashion, Lily Donaldson is the lucky model who gets to strut around in Paris wearing some of the best works of today's prominent labels. I really like the idea of showing one designer per page in what I think is their signature work....almost like a profile. My favourite? Too hard to pick!
