It seems like a too-simple-to-work and useless activity, but its actually the opposite. Jumping rope has been the miracle addition to my fitness. I was looking for different workouts while trying to vary my activities (cross training is really important for weight loss, or keeping fit in general), and someone suggested jummping rope for as little as 2-5 min at three different times during the day. I have to admit that I don't do this religiously, but I do a hundred or so when I feel like I'm being a disgusting couch potatoe or while travelling. It works like a miracle!
